Abstract

According to Riskesdas South Sumatra in 2018, the city of Palembang was one of the areas with the highest prevalence of adolescent girls who had experienced menstruation, namely 68.7%. This research takes the form of education using Tiktok video media with the aim of increasing knowledge and attitudes of young women regarding reproductive nutrition. The method used in this research was quasi-experimental with pre-test and post-test on 82 respondents consisting of 41 experimental group respondents and 41 control group respondents. The respondents in this research were female students from SMA 10 and SMA 13 Palembang. Sampling was carried out using purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the average knowledge of respondents in the experimental group before being given the intervention was 68.02, increasing to 85.37 after the educational intervention with (P=0.000). Meanwhile, the average knowledge of respondents in the control group before being given the intervention was 67.24, increasing to 78.22 with (P=0.000). The average attitude score of respondents in the experimental group before and after being given the educational intervention was 34.88, increasing to 39.98 with (P=0.000). Meanwhile, the average attitude score of respondents in the control group before being given the intervention was 35.34 to 37.02 with (P=0.028). The conclusion is that there is a difference in the average knowledge score of respondents who received intervention using TikTok video media and the lecture method with a point difference of 7.15, and a difference in the average attitude score of respondents who received intervention using TikTok video media and respondents who received intervention using the lecture method. with a difference of 2.95 points. Researchers suggest that educational media via TikTok videos can be reproduced and used as an alternative educational media regarding reproductive nutrition for young women.
