Abstract
Headache is a problem that is often experienced by hypertension sufferers caused by increased blood flow from the heart which accumulates in the brain. This headache is characterized by prodromal sensations such as blurred vision, nausea, auravisual, and heaviness in the nape or neck. This study aims to determine the effect of Al-Qur'an murrotal therapy on headaches in hypertensive sufferers. This method used quantitative research using a pre-experimental research design with a one group pre-test post-test design. The sample in this study were respondents with hypertension headaches who were at the Palembang Red Mata Class 1 Correctional Institution clinic. The total sample in this study was 40 respondents who were selected using non-probability sampling using accidental sampling techniques. Al-Qur'an murrotal therapy was given once a day for 14 consecutive days for 10 - 15 minutes. Data collection used the Numeric Rating Scale pain scale. Data analysis uses the Wilcoxon test. The results of the analysis obtain ρ value = 0.000 (<0.05) which shows that there is an influence of Al-Qur'an murrotal therapy on headaches in hypertensive sufferers. Murrotal al- Qur'an therapy for headaches in hypertensive sufferers is found to have an effect. Murrotal Al-Qur'an has a calming effect, reduces anxiety, stimulates pain and is very important for all types of illnesses, both physical and spiritual and is a therapy that is easy to do without any side effects and has a positive influence on the listener.
