Abstract

The main idea of a smart home is a technology that can control devices in the home environment system with an internet connection automatically. As time advances, automation has become a system that can make activities easier for a person and help a person feel comfortable when resting, especially in the home environment, such as an automatic switch light or a room temperature monitoring system. The concept used by a smart home is based on the Internet of Things. The IoT concept allows a set of devices to be connected to the internet network continuously via network sensors to manage data. The method used in this smart home research is Sugeno's fuzzy logic, which is a method for making decisions from vague problems. This method has an output in the form of a constant or linear equation. This study present a smart home with several features, including room temperature condittioning using Sugeno fuzzy logic. This allows users to monittor AC usage based on the number of people and temperature in the room. The system also includes monitoring of room temperature using the web, room light condittioning where users can turn on or turn off the lights in the room using a web-based Internet of Things. Additionally, users can set and monitor the door lock system, which serves as a door security system using RFID. According to the research results, the smart home model has been implemented successfully. Users are able to monitor and use all use all the designed features. Moreover, testing has shown that the Sugeno fuzzy logic method can efficiently control room temperature. Users can also regulate and monitor the door lock system. The light settings and temperature monittoring systems can be accessed and controlled remotely through the Internet of Things-based web.
