Abstract

Taxes are the most important source of state revenue in order to finance a state policy and development activities. The goal is to increase tax sector revenue every year. Increased tax revenue is expected to be able to pay for government spending in order to achieve people's welfare. The purpose of this research is to analyze the business process of checking tax objects in the Regional Revenue Agency (BAPENDA) of Palembang City. It is because the existing business process at the Palembang City Regional Revenue Agency (BAPENDA) has several obstacles. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the Palembang City Revenue Agency (BAPENDA). This research method is Business Process Improvement (BPI), which is a method that can analyze and improve business processes, using the help of the Bizagi Modeler application in order to analyze business process simulations, and also using Streamlining Tools in making improvements to old business processes so that they become more effective and efficient business processes. Data collection is done by observation first, then brainstorming or can be called by discussing with several employees and providing ideas so that this business process can later become more effective and efficient. The result of this research is that the research shows that the tax object checking business process has several existing obstacles, both in terms of existing staff, in terms of process time, and also in terms of tasks in the business process. Therefore, it is necessary to improve the business process in accordance with the recommendations that have been submitted.
