Abstract
This research aims to produce virtual laboratory products as a learning medium for valid, practical and effective hydrocarbon materials. This research was conducted in class XII IPA 2 SMAN 9 Palembang. The research method used is development research using a 4-D model consisting of 4 stages, namely Define, Design, Development, Dessiminate. The data collection techniques used are interviews, questionnaires and tests. The results of the research obtained at the expert appraisal stage for material validation amounted to 0.853 and media validation amounted to 0.857 with a very valid category. The practicality test stage obtained results in development testing I of 96.7% and development testing II of 95% with a very practical category. Effectiveness test based on N-Gain Score of 0.8697% with high category. The results of the research conducted show that the virtual laboratory of hydrocarbon materials and their derivatives in class XII SMA / MA has met the criteria of valid, practical and effective.
