Abstract
Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept that allows humans to make every job easier. With the presence of this concept, it can bring the development of advanced human civilization. The need for a system that can optimize data transmission on IoT devices has become an important requirement. There are many types of topologies that can be applied, but in the author's research this time, the topology used is the Mesh topology. Mesh topology is a network topology that allows each node or device in the topology to communicate properly with all other devices. Thus, if one node dies, the data transmission process between other devices will not be affected. Based on the results of implementing a mesh network on ESP32, the researchers found that the implementation of the topology using ESP32 could be carried out properly and work according to the topology concept. The ESP32 microcontroller is very suitable for testing this mesh topology because it is supported by its modules. The delay generated when transmitting data has an average of 97ms, the results were obtained after conducting trials on the local network. Thus, the data transmission process using ESP32 as the microcontroller can run well.
