Abstract
Microcontroller is a technology that is developing so rapidly with various types and functions, one of which is the NodeMCU ESP8266 which can be used as a microcontroller for various functions in the field of electronics technology. This research was carried out at the Electrical and Nuclear Electronics Laboratory, Sriwijaya University and Sungai Senai in April-July 2023. The purpose of this research was to create a NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller-based water velocity measuring instrument using the Hall Effect sensor. The results of a comparison of data recording between the results of the water flow velocity measuring instrument and the Current Flow Meter comparison tool obtained an average error of 0.0494% and an accuracy rate of 95.0566%. The water flow velocity meter can also save measurement results into a Spreadsheet via WiFi. Thus it can be said that the ability of the tool is able to measure the velocity of water flow properly.
