Abstract

NFT hydroponics (Nutrient Film Technique) is a hydroponic system that uses plant cultivation with plant roots in a thin layer of water that flows and circulates with a pump that contains nutrients for the plants. This research aimed to test the performance of the NFT hydroponic system in cultivating your plants (Brassica oleracea). This research was carried out from July 2023 to August 2023 at the Plant House, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Palembang, South Sumatera. The method used in this research is a Randomized Block Design (RAK) with two treatment factors, namely water flow rate (Q) and nutrient solution concentration (N), which consists of three treatments and three replications, the research parameters was in the form of installation discharge, discharge gutters, measuring pH, ppm, dissolved oxygen, Electrical Conductivity (EC), humidity, temperature, solar radiation, plant height, number of leaves, leaf area, fresh weight and dry weight of kailan plants. The results of this research show that the flow of water and the concentration of the nutrient solution influence the growth of your plants. The research results showed that the water flow rate and solution concentration influenced the growth of kailan plants with an average plant height of 13.82 cm, number of leaves 58.30 cm, fresh mass 3.04 g and dry mass 1.50 g.
