Abstract

PT Bukit Asam as owener does mining it self at they mining business permit area or called self-management method, apart from that PT Bukit Asam Tbk. also made several agreements with various contractors, one of them is PT PAMA PERSADA or called non self-management method. Rental agreement made by PT Bukit Asam Tbk. and PT PAMA PERSADA using SPPH 10360 and SPPH 13025 contract. PT Bukit Asam as the self-management party in order to fulfill overburden production targets, then make an investment by purchasing equipment. This research was conducted to determine the unit cost of stripping overburden in pit 3 of Banko Barat Mining and in the Townsite Basecamp pit of Air Laya Mining, as well as to determine the comparison of the unit cost of overburden stripping carried out in pit 3 (self-managed) and in the Townsite Basecamp pit (non-self-managed). Based on analysis and processing carried out using Microsoft Excel 2013, the results obtained were that the unit cost of overburden stripping in pit 3 was18.393,84 IDR/BCM and in TSBC pit was 48.000 IDR/BCM, and a ratio of 1 : 2.6 (one to two point six) which means that overburden stripping in pit 3 using the self-managed method costs less than in the TSBC pit using the non-self-managed method.
