Abstract

The aime of this research were a) to measure the attitude of farmers in cultivating the rice before and after using agropolitan program in Pulo Kerto, Gandus. b) to compare the farmers income before and after using agropolitan program in Pulo Kerto, Gandus. c) to analisyst the correlation between the attitude of farmers in cultivating rice and the income of farmers before and after using agropolitan program. The collecting of the data was done during May 2008, the method that used in this research was survey method, the farmers that involved in a farmers group yhat followed agropolitan development program as a case unity. The sample of this research was a 20 farmers. The data that used were primer and secunder data. The data that had been gained from the ffied was analized systematically and explained descriptively in the explanation. The result of this research showed that by using agropolitan program the attitude of farmers in cultivating rice increased with the rate of the average score of the treatment before which is 18,60 and after the program of agropolitan, the average score is 20,00 with a high criteria. The help that is given by Agriculture Departement of Palembang city to the farmers cause the positive effect which result in the increase of the farmers income. The average income before the agropolitan program is held is Rp.5.011.000,25,- and after the programe is Rp.7.692.117,05 with high income criteria. With Spearman correlation test we got the result that before there was agropolitan program. The decision principle is accept Ho, which means there is no positive relationship between the farmers attitude in cultivating the rice with their income. In the other hand, after the agropolitan program, it is decision principle is push away Ho, which means there is a positive relationship between the attitude of the farmers in cultivating the rice with their income. The Agropolitan program which had been done in field i s still on the beginning stage or phase which is about the carried on and the providing of the infrastructure such as : the building of the Street, the electricity providing, the fertilizer providing, and the seeds providing. But, for the help to agriculture field is still limited for the farmers. Because of the beginingof this agropolitan program was started in year of 2006, and the help for agriculture field come to the farmers in the year of 2007.
