Abstract

Lake Kongar is one of the tourist attractions located in Sungai Dua Village, Sungai Keruh District, Musi Banyuasin Regency, which is one of the tourist attractions with great potential to visit. The natural tourism panorama of Lake Kongar is very interesting for tourists to visit. With its various uniqueness and natural beauty, Lake Kongar is one of the unique tourist attractions in Musi Banyuasin Regency. However, it is very unfortunate that even though Lake Kongar has various unique features, there are still many inadequate facilities and infrastructure for its development. Therefore, an appropriate strategy is needed to manage and develop Lake Kongar tourism. The aim of this research is to find out, identify and analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for the development of the Kongar Lake tourist attraction in Musi Banyuasin Regency. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive research method with data collection through interviews, documentation observation. To find out the strategy for developing the potential of the Lake Kongar area as a tourist attraction in Musi Banyuasin Regency using SWOT analysis which is divided into 4 dimensions, namely strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. The research results show that Lake Kongar tourism does not yet have an appropriate strategy for its development, so the results of the SWOT analysis propose an intensive strategy and diversity strategy, namely developing, managing and improving existing rides, facilities and infrastructure as well as activating the promotion of the Lake Kongar tourist attraction to attract visitors. extensively. Keywords: Development Strategy, Kongar Lake, SWOT Analysis Danau Kongar merupakan wisata yang terletak di Desa Sungai Dua, Kecamatan Sungai Keruh Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin merupakan salah satu tempat wisata yang sangat berpontensial untuk dikunjungi. Panorama wisata alam Danau Kongar menjadi hal yang sangat menarik bagi para wisatawan yang berkunjung. Dengan berbagai keunikan dan keindahan alam yang disajikan, Danau Kongar menjadi salah satu objek wisata yang sangat unik yang dimiliki Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin. Namun sangat disayangkan meskipun Danau Kongar memiliki beragam keunikan tetapi masih banyak sarana dan prasarana yang kurang memadai dalam pengembangannya. Oleh karena itu di butuhkan strategi yang tepat untuk mengelolah dan pengembangkan wisata Danau Kongar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui, mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang dan ancaman bagi pengembangan objek wisata Danau Kongar di Kabupaten Musi Banyuasin. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian Deskriptif Kualitatif dengan mengumpulkan data melalui wawancara, observasi dokumentasi. Untuk mengetahui Strategi Bagi Pengembangan Potensi Kawasan Danau Kongar Sebagai Daya Tarik Objek Wisata Dikabupaten Musi Banyuasin dengan mengunakan Analisis SWOT yang di bagi menjadi 4 dimensi yaitu kekuatan (strengths), kelemahan (weaknesses), peluang (opportunities), ancaman (threats). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa wisata Danau Kongar belum memiliki strategi yang tepat dalam penembanganya sehingga hasil dari analisis SWOT mengusulkan strategi intensif dan strategi diversitas yaitu mengembangkan, mengelolah dan meningkatkan kembali wahana, sarana dan prasarana yang ada serta mengaktifkan promosi objek wisata Danau Kongar untuk menarik pengunjung secara Kata Kunci: Strategi Pengembangan, Danau Kongar, Analisis SWOT
