Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi yang dialami mahasiswa pada materi fluida statis. Penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 33 mahasiswa semester 5 Prodi Pendidikan Fisika FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya tahun ajaran 2022/2023. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara memberikan tes berupa tes diagnostik empat tingkat (four-tier diagnostic test) kepada subjek penelitian dan wawancara. Four-Tier Diagnostic Test merupakan tes diagnostik berupa soal pilihan ganda empat tingkat yang berisikan jawaban dan alasan, serta tingkat keyakinannya yang dapat digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi pada materi fluida statis termasuk ke dalam kategori sedang, dimana dibandingkan dengan persentase kategori konsepsi yang lain miskonsepsi berada di persentase tertinggi. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa miskonsepsi masih menjadi salah satu masalah yang harus segera diatasi, agar calon pendidik tidak membawa konsep yang salah. Adapun urutan sub konsep yang teridentifikasi miskonsepsi dari yang memiliki persentase tertinggi yaitu: Tekanan Hidrostatis (44,24%), Hukum Pascal (33,3%), dan Hukum Archimedes (26,76%).
