Abstract

Traffic accidents are a global problem that still persists. There are 1.3 million people died due to traffic accidents based on the WHO report in 2018. Sriwijaya University is the largest campus in South Sumatra, with a large number of students, the need for transportation facilities has also increased, one of which is the use of online motorcycle taxi transportation services. This study illustrates the traffic safety analysis of online motorcycle taxi driver accidents at Sriwijaya University. With a cross-sectional method and a sample of 110 drivers, this study found that the safety factor became dominant with a value of PR = 7.867. However, some variables such as the use of SNI helmets and mobile phones are confounding variables. The results highlight the need for improved traffic safety implementation, especially with safety riding training.
