Abstract

Rice plants are important food abiotic environment and optimal land management. Crops that have been the staple food in the effective and efficient way to increase rice production in sustainable manner and increase productivity can bedae through precision technology and also , taking into account the environmental conditions of biotic. This study was aimed to determine the effect of nutrient priming and nitrogen foliar fertilizer on the growth of rice seedling. This research was conducted from January to March 2017, at water concreate tank and plant Physiology Laboratory Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The method used in this research was Factorial Randomized BIock Design with 2 Factors. The first factor was the fertilization method consists of: No = priming, Nj = Priming 4 mM Zn, N2 = Priming, 4 mM Zn, and foliar nitrogen fertilizer 2300 ppm N. Second factor: nursery method consists of: Al = 14 days floating + 21 dry bed nursery A2 = 7 days of floating + 21 dry bed nursery, A3 = 14 days floating +14 dry bed nursery, A4 = 7 days floating +14 dry bed nursery, A5 = 7 days floating + 7 dry bed nursery. The results of this study showed that fertilizer application in rice crops can improve the growth of seedlings for the better, by the less the period of the nursery and land the growth of rice seedlings will increase. The results of this study show that the shorter floating and will result in better plant growth after being moved to the field, the priming treatment of 4 mM Zn seed and the application of foliar nitrogen 2300 ppm can produce better rice seedlings.
