Abstract
This research aims to design and implement an early fire detection system based on Arduino Uno. The system utilizes fire and smoke MQ-2 sensors to detect potential fires, with Arduino Uno as the main control unit. A buzzer and LED lights are used for local alerts, while notifications are also sent to a laptop through the Arduino IDE. Testing was conducted using various research materials such as gas lighters, matchsticks, and illuminating candles. The test results showed a quick response and adequate sensitivity to fire sources and smoke. This research contributes to the development of a reliable and effective fire detection system, with the potential to enhance indoor safety and reduce fire risks. Moreover, the use of Arduino Uno as the central control provides ease in real-time system monitoring and management, adding value to the implementation of fire detection in various research materials such as gas lighters, matchsticks, and illuminating candles.
