Abstract

PT Kaltim Prima Coal has the Energy Conservation Program that optimizes Match Factor ( MF ) and Fuel Bum Rate ( FBR ) . Middle inul Pit uses shovel excavator Liebherr with R996S type and trucks such as CAT785 , CAT789 , Hitachi EH4500 and Hitachi EH5000 to transport overburden material . Many types and capacities of each trucks causes cycle time of each instrument payload are also varied due to the loading time (loading time ) of each different transport means . If the calculation is not right, it can causes missmatch factor. It also can causes the loader waiting trucks or vice versa in a long period of time, resulting in a large fuel consumption, but inefficient. Therefore, it is necessary a research to get a combination of trucks that has a match factor value and optimal fuel ratio so fuel consumption can be efficiently. Based on a special study conducted PT KPC, ideal match factor present in the range of 0.85 to 0.90. To get an ideal match factor is the author using the formula match factor for heterogeneous truck fleet with a homogeneous loading fleet by Lemma and treated with Ms. Office Excel. The results showed there were 13 truck combinations altemative that has an ideal match factor value . However, after analyzing the match factor vs fuel ratio using the most effective and efficient trucks type is CAT789 type with uses 5 units of trucks to produce the amount of production is 1176.07 bcm / hour and fuel consumption is 515 liters / hour resulting fuel ratio value is 0.44 liters / bcm and match factor value is 0.89. The most optimum combination with the best match factor value and fuel ratio is 1 unit CAT785 plus 1 unit CAT789 plus 2 units EH5000 with match factor value is 0.86, the production is 1055.78 bcm / hour, fuel bum rate is 483 liters / hour and value ratio fuel is 0.46 liters / bcm.
