Abstract

PT. Bukit Asam (Persero), Tbk is one of the companies engaged in coal mining. For stripping interburden in Mine Air Laya with drilling-blasting is done in cooperation with PT. Pamapersada. Geometry blasting average actual applied by PT. Pamapersada is burden by 7 meters and spaced 8 feet. Geometry will affect the degree of fragmentation of rock blasting results. Fragmentation results of size distribution of rock blasting has to be according to the capacity of the excavator bucket PC 2000. Observations on the field for the actual fragmentation by using the geometry of the actual blasting fragmentation obtained results that are less than 1 meter as much as 70,24%. Means to measure more than 1 meter as much as 29,75%. Geometry is the geometry suggested proposals proposed by RL Ash with powder factor for consideration and degree of fragmentation of the rock. With the burden and spacing of 6 meters by 8.4 meters. Theoretical calculations for the fragmentation of distribution according to RL Ash geometry obtained results that fragmentation is less than 1 meter as much as 91,80%. Means to measure more than 1 meter as much as 8,20%. As for PC 2000 excavator productivity for blasting materials from most large on 30th May 2014 in the amount of 918,67 bcm / hour. As for the smallest on 02 June 2014 in the amount of 688,64 bcm / hour.
