Abstract

The objective of this research was to evaluate the growth and yields of fruits plants on multiple cropping system with gambier plant. The data is useful for selection of fruits plants on multiple cropping system with gambier plant. This research has been conducted from March to July 2004 in field research station of Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University, Inderalaya, Ogan Ilir. The experiment was arranged using completely randomized block design with seven treatments, conducted on gambier, papaya, banana and pineapple plantations which planted on monoculture and multiple cropping system. The result showed that monoculture and multiple cropping system gave significant effect on pineapple monoculture or multiple cropping system. Plant height parameter to papayas monoculture and bananas multiple showed non significant effect. Pineapples multiple and monoculture cropping system, bananas monoculture cropping system, and papayas multiple cropping system gave significant effect Stem circumference Parameter showed significantly effect to bananas monoculture and multiple cropping system and gave significant effect to papayas multiple and monoculture cropping system. Results of t - test analysis gave significantly effect to shoot number parameter.
