Abstract

By Increasing demand for oil and gas triggeres PT Pertamina EP Asset 1 Field Ramba which enganges in oil and gas industry for increasing oil and gas production. One of concrete steps taken PT Pertamina EP Asset 1 Field Ramba is to analyze the production wells which causes decreased of oil recovery. One cause of the decline of oil recovery is causes by water content is so high. There are afctors of water content decreasing. Water coning is one of problem of water vertical movement infiltration into the productive layer. It occurs because Q actual bigger than Q critical. So that is throughexcessive exploration wich cause rate preassure gradient exceeds gravitational force. It occurs productive layer breakthrough by water. Water coning indication can be seen in surface which occurs significant water content increasing carried out by analyze how much critical production rate by using chierici method and also coning development. In data, Q actual in X-41 well is 87 Bopd, X-95 is 131 Bopd, X-98 is 189 Bopd and X-99 is 148 Bopd. The results of the calculation critical production rate by using chierici method in X-41 well is 0,42 Bopd, X-95 is 1,19 Bopd, X-98 is 18,36 Bopd and X-99 is 14,96 Bopd. It shows that four wells which observation occur water coning are caused by their Q actual is bigger then Q critical and should determine how to solve coning problem.
