Abstract

The aim of this study was to observed the growth of young grafted duku {Lansium domesticum Corr.) trees variety Palembang and variety Rasuan planted in soil mixed media. The research was conducted from January up to June 2007 in lath house Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University at Indralaya. The study was arranged in Split Plot Design with three replications. The main plot was duku variety, V] (Palembang variety) and V2 (Rasuan variety), as the sub plot was the ratio of media composition soil, manure, and ricehusk in volume proportion of 1:2:3 (Mi), 2:1:3 (M2), 2:3:1 (M3), and 3:2:1 (M4). The parameters observed were plant height, leaf number, stem’s diameter, stock sprouts, and chlorophyll content. The result of this study was Palembang variety showed the best growth in media M4 treatment (3:2:1) v/v/v, the highest plant height, the most of leaf number and the largest stem’s diameter. Whereas for Rasuan variety, the best growth media M, treatment (1:2:3) v/v/v, the best plant height, the most of leaf number, the largest stem’s diameter, and the heighest chlorophyll content.
