Abstract

Economic growth and development itself is a concern in every country throughout the world. An important indicator in assessing economic development is the structure of workers. The study states that workers are divided into two groups, namely blue collar workers and white collar workers, where white collar workers themselves are workers who usually have higher wages than blue collar workers. The research was carried out in the city of Palembang and took data on blue collar workers/construction workers in official companies in the city of Palembang. Data sources were obtained from interview research and filling out questionnaires. The type of data in the research is primary data using multiple linear regression analysis techniques. Multiple linear regression results to see the influence of age, work experience and skills on the income of blue collar workers in the city of Palembang. Only the skill variable has an influence on the income of blue collar workers in the city of Palembang. Keywords: Income, Age, Experience, Skill, Labor, Blue Collar
