Abstract

This study aims to develop an educational game tool KOPUTA (word turn box) for children aged 5-6 years carried out at PAUD Ceria Palembang. This development uses a research and development (RnD) development model with a modified Tessmer evaluation model. One-To-One Evaluation stage, and Small Group Evaluation stage. Data collection techniques using walkthrough and observation, the results of expert review of material validity obtained by 96.42% with a very valid category and media validity obtained by 77.5% with a very valid category. From the results of material and media validity, an average of 86.96% was categorized as very valid. At the One-To-One Evaluation stage involved 3 children with the results of 94.42% with a very practical category and at the Small Group Evaluation stage involved 9 children with the results of 85.86% with a very practical category. The results of the One-To-One Evaluation stage and the Small Group Evaluation stage obtained an average of 90.14% which was categorized as very practical. This research only reached the Small Group Evaluation stage because it was only to see the validity and practicality of a product. From all the stages that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the educational game tool KOPUTA (word play box) for children aged 5-6 years is declared valid and practical Keywords : Educational Game Tools, KOPUTA, Word Play Box, Early Childhood, 5-6 years old
