Abstract

This study aims to determine the significant influence of the application of the learning style-based project based learning model on the creative thinking ability of SMPN 51 Palembang students. This study used a quantitative approach with experimental methods. The population in this study was all grade VII students of SMPN 51 Palembang with a total of 324 students. The sample in the study was class VII A as an experimental class and VII F as a control class totaling 72 students. In this study, the samples used were taken using a non-probability technique of purposive sampling type. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that there is a significant influence from the application of the learning style-based project based learning model on the creative thinking ability of SMPN 51 Palembang students. This is evident from the results of the hypothesis test using an independent sample t-test with the help of SPSS 29, a significant value of 0.00 was obtained with a value (α) of 0.05. Thus the result obtained is sig. 0.00 <0.05 then the decision taken is Ho rejected and Ha accepted.
