Abstract

One of the elements in a regional government organization is the general section which functions as a meeting place for the community's needs for government, one of which is the government protocol section. The role of protocols is to help and regulate the course of activities to be carried out in government offices su that the government can carry out its duties well. The purpose of this research is to determine and analyze the role of the Protocol Section in preparing the activity agenda for the Governor of South Sumatra based on the indicators of Expert Prescriber (expert advisor), Communications Facilitator (communication facilitator), Problem Solving Process Facihtator (Problem Solving Process Facilitator) and Communications Technician Responsiveness (Communications Technician).). The type of research used in this research is descriptive qualitative Data collection techniques use interviews and analysis using qualitative analysis methods as research procedures that produce descriptive data. The results of research regarding the Role of the Protocol Section of the Regional Secretariat in Preparing the Activity Agenda for the Governor of South Sumatra can be concluded that the role of the protocol section is still not good and must be improved, especially in performance indicators.
