Abstract

The development of media in form of trailer film of learning material of fantasy story had been implemented and applied in class VII of SMP Negeri 1 Pedamaran, Pedamaran District of Ogan Komering Ilir Regency. This research was done with R & D method (research and development). Based on the results of the research, students and teachers need a learning media in form of trailer film regarding to fantasy story text material to help the learning process in order to facilitate teachers in delivering materials easier, to help students to learn independently, and to motivate learning process through interesting, creative, and innovative media. The validity of this media was validated by two experts namely material experts, and media experts. The material validity scored 93 out of 100 maximum score and was categorized very well. Moreover, the media validity scored 87 out of 100 and was categorized very well, too. The practicality of the trailer film media that was seen from the average score of questionnaires at the stage of learning practitioners and test one by one was categorized in very good category. Thus, it showed that the film trailer media was quite practical.
