Abstract

The aim of this research was to delineate the development of reproduction organs of duku ([Lansium domesticum Corr.) trees fertilized with organic and inorganic fertilizer. This research was conducted in duku orchard belongs to fruit grower at Kijang Ulu village, Ogan Komering Ilir district, which was as a research station of RUSNAS duku of Agriculture Faculty, Universitas Sriwijaya in 2007. This research was consisted of five treatments, they were 1) The trees was fertilized with 3.25 kg (urea + KC1) given once a year in the hole digged around the trees stand (1L), 2) The treatment was as 1L but given twice (2L), 3) The trees was fertilized with 3.25 kg (urea + KC1) given once a year in the four hole digged simetrically around the tree stand (1S), 4) The treatment was as 1S but given twice (2S), and 5) The tree was fertilized with organic fertilizer, 5 1 per tree (O). There were five trees for each treatment. The results of this research indicated that the fertilization treatments didn't influence the stan time of duku’s flower development and fruit development. The production of the trees fertilized with inorganic fertilizer was 17,3 kg in average and fruit s weight was 24,01 g which was better then the production of trees fertilized with organic fertilizer 4,4 kg and ffuit’s weight was 21,12 g. Application of fertilizer twice a year gave better effect on the yield of duku.
