Abstract

Anemia is one of the three main causes of maternal death, namely bleeding, hypertension and infection. One indirect cause of bleeding is anemia experienced during pregnancy. Anemia in pregnant women is still a global public health problem, including in Indonesia. The aim is to analyze the relationship between dietary patterns and compliance with the consumption of Blood Supplement Tablets (TTD) and Upper Arm Circumference (LILA) with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women. This research method uses a quantitative approach, with a cross sectional research design. The sample used was 120 pregnant women. Characteristic data was obtained through a questionnaire. Quantitative data was analyzed using univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. The results of the analysis showed that the p-value of diet was (<0.001), compliance with the consumption of Blood Supplement Tablets (TTD) (<0.001), Upper Arm Circumference LILA) (0.043). Multivariate results show that the most dominant factor influencing the incidence of anemia in pregnant women is the pattern then with PR = 15.856 (CI 95%: 4.777 – 52.631). The conclusion is that there is a relationship between diet, compliance with the consumption of Blood Supplement Tablets (TTD) and Upper Arm Circumference (LILA) with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women.
