Abstract

The purpose of this research was to know influence of growth of dragon fruit cutting. This research was held at Greenhouse of Departement of Agriculture, Agriculture Faculty, Sriwijaya University at Indralaya, started from December 2010 until March 2011. on The research used Randomized Block Design (RBK), consists of six treatments and four replications. The treatment are (1:1:1), Tj: Soil + Sand + Sawdust mixture media (2:1:1), T2: Soil + Sand + Sawdust mixture media (1:2:1), T3: Soil + Sand + Cow manure (2:1:1), T4: Sand + Soil + Cow manure (1:2:1), T5: Soil + Sand + Sawdust mixture media (2:1:1), and Te: Soil + Sand + Sawdust mixture media (1:2:1). The results of this resesarch showed that the treatment of media growth which added by cow manure is better than using the treatmant of media growth non cow manure. Growing time for bud, length of buds, shoot weight, root wet weight, and root dry weight have the highest score in the T3. It can be seen in the T3 treatment: Sand + Soil + Cow feces (2:1:1). The best media growth for dragon fruit cuttings is the treatment using Soil + Sand + Cow manure (2:1:1).
