Abstract
This research is entitled "Strategic Management of Local Government Information System Applications at DPMPTSP Palembang City". The background of this research is to support the implementation of a more effective, efficient, and accountable government by utilizing information and communication technology by presenting a system made by the center, namely SIPD. However, the use of SIPD is not easy, there are still obstacles, therefore the purpose of this research is to find out how the strategic management of the SIPD application at the Palembang City DPMPTSP. This study uses the theory of strategic management from (Donovan and Jackson 2019) which consists of five dimensions namely planning, organizing, personnel, leadership, and supervision using qualitative methods. The results showed that the management of the Regional Government Information System Application Strategy at DPMPTSP Palembang City was still not optimal, there were many shortcomings. Suggestions that the author can make are to provide training evenly to all operators at the Palembang City DPMPTSP, the structure and division of duties and responsibilities of SIPD operators must be written in a Palembang City DPMPTSP decision letter, it is expected to compile their own SOP by referring to guidelines from the central government, and conduct special annual performance evaluations of SIPD operators at the Palembang City DPMPTSP.
