Abstract

SUMMARY THE INFLUENCE OF THE USE OF TINDER SOCIAL MEDIA ON LYING PROFILE IN THE CITY OF PALEMBANG This research examines Tinder social media and lying profiles in virtual world of the city of Palembang. The problem in this research is about the development of lying profiles on Tinder social media in city of Palembang. This research aims to determine the effect of using Tinder social media on lying profiles in cyberspace in the city of Palembang. The method used is correlative descriptive quantitative analysis. The sample in this research was 92 Tinder user respondents in the city of Palembang. The sampling technique used was data collection using a questionnaire. The results of the research show that there is an influence of the use of social media Tinder on lying profiles in cyberspace in the city of Palembang. This is shown by the results of the partial t test with a value of 2.654 which is greater than the value of 1.986 with a significance value of 0.009 <0.05. Based on the coefficient of determination value with a significant effect of 6.2%. Keywords: Social Media Tinder, Lying Profile, Palembang.
