Abstract

Fly ash is a solid waste generated from the coal combustion at the electrical generator. Commonly, the waste of the coal combustion was indulged floating in the atmosphere and disposed of as a pile. This problem causes bad effect for the environment and the human health as well. Fly ash is found in a quite large amount so that it causes environmental problems such as air or water pollution and decreasing of ecosystem. (Sri Prabandiyani, 2008). The Fly ash is extremey tiny and could be used as the strengthener material made of the composite particle. The aim of this studywas to investigate how much the influence of the fly ash was in the composite matrix, which was polyester resin. The comparison offraction of fly ash particle volume to polyester resins howed that the variations were 0% of the strengthener and 100% matrix, 10% of the strengthener and 90% matrix, 20% of the strengthener and 80% matrix,30% of the strengthener and 70 %matrix.
