Abstract
The aim of this research is to produce an e-module for radical polymerization and ionic polymerization based on problem based learning that is valid, practical and effective. This research uses the 4S TMD (Four Steps Teaching Material Development) model which consists of 4 stages, namely the selection stage, structuring stage, characterization stage, and didactic reduction stage. The PBL-based E-Module was validated by experts using the V'aiken formula, obtaining material experts with an average value of 1 (high), pedagogical experts with an average value of 1 (high), and design experts with an average value of 1 (high). From these results it is concluded that the e-module that has been developed is valid. From the PBL-based e-module student practicality questionnaire sheet, the average percentage score was 96.1% (very practical). The effectiveness test of the e-module was seen from the learning outcomes test which obtained an N-gain value of 0.950 (high), so it was concluded that the problem based learning-based radical polymerization and ionic polymerization e-modules developed were declared valid, practical and effective.
