Abstract
This research aims to determine the comparison of the improvement in students' learning outcomes on the topic of thermochemistry taught using the PBL (Problem-Based Learning) model versus the PjBL (Project-Based Learning) model, as well as to evaluate the implementation of PBL and PjBL models in the Merdeka curriculum. This is a comparative study using with a two group pretest- posttest design. The sampling technique used is cluster sampling, with the research subjects being the 11th-grade students of SMA Negeri 10 Palembang. Data collection techniques include test questions and observation sheets of learning implementation. The analysis results show that students' learning outcomes using the PBL model increased with a high category, while the PjBL model showed a moderate increase with a comparison of 17.3%. The implementation of PBL and PjBL learning was carried out well, with PBL implementation at 85.18% and PjBL at 71.92%.
