Abstract

Utilizing solar energy by utilizing photovoltaic technology is very suitable to be applied in Indonesia, which is located on the equator. So, the additional energy system by utilizing PLTS sources is very efficient in overcoming disturbances that occur and is environmentally friendly. By simulating and optimizing a microgrid system that utilizes PLTS using the Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP) software version 19.0.1. The focus of the research is to simulate the Output Power Flow in PLTS and the Short Circuit Current that occurs with the ETAP application with a total input power produced of 17 kW in addition to the electrical energy. The maximum output power based on the calculation results is 8,16 kW and in the ETAP simulation it is 9,97 kW, while in the simulation the shortest disturbance that occurs is the largest in the Grid channel at 0.006 kA. The research method involves simulation design using software to increase efficiency and become a reference in optimizing the use of PLTS as additional electrical energy in an electrical system.
