Abstract

ABSTRAK Presentasi diri pada penelitian ini mengkaji tentang setting dan personal front yang dipersiapkan vlogger untuk ditampilkan di front stage. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana presentasi diri yang ditampilkan oleh vlogger melalui video blog. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif yang menentukan informan dengan cara snowball yang tujuannya untuk mendapatkan informasi yang lebih mendetail sesuai dengan permasalahan peneliti. Strategi penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kasus dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan perspektif presentasi diri dari teori Dramaturgi Erving Goffman. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa presentasi diri yang ditampilkan oleh vlogger adalah sebagai influencer. Presentasi diri merupakan hasil dari persiapan setting dan personal front yang terbagi atas setting fisik dan setting non fisik serta appereance dan manner. Kata Kunci: presentasi diri, vlogger, setting, personal front ABSTRACT Self-presentation in this research relates to the setting and personal fronts that the vlogger prepares to display on the front stage. The purpose of this research is to find out how the self presentation presented by vlogger through video blog. The research method used in this study is qualitative research method that determines the informant in snowball manner whose purpose is to obtain more detailed information in accordance with the problems of the researcher. The research strategy used a case study with data collection technique in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. This research is uses a self presentation perspective from Dramaturgi theory by Erving Goffman. The results of this study indicates the self-presentation that used by vlogger is represented themselves as influencer. The self-presentation presented by vlogger is the result of preparation of setting and personal fronts. The settings used are divided into physical settings and non-physical settings, while personal front used is divided into appereance and manner.
