Abstract
This research aims to determine the implementation of critical incident learning strategies in increasing students' learning activeness in Civics learning at SMA Negeri 1 Martapura. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The informants in this research were one person, namely the PPKn teacher and two check members, namely class XI students. Data collection techniques in this research used observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The data validity tests used are credibility tests, transferability tests, dependability tests, and confirmability tests. Based on the results of the data analysis carried out, it can be concluded that the implementation of the critical incident learning strategy was implemented well and effectively in increasing students' learning activeness in Civics learning at SMA Negeri 1 Martapura.
