Abstract

This study aims to determine the risk of worker posture, the amount of energy consumption, the worker's body temperature as well as the temperature and humidity of the room to workers when making pempek at UMKM Pempek "Yamai" Palembang so that it can provide suggestions for improvement to help reduce worker complaints felt by workers. The research method used is the Quick Exposure Checklist (QEC) method. In this study using 3 subjects with female gender including worker x aged 55 years, worker y aged 40 years and beginner aged 21 years. The results showed that 1) The risk of work postures in pempek making requires further investigation and treatment in the near future according to the QEC method, and the highest exposure to injury risk based on the NBM questionnaire on the three workers shows the back, wrists, shoulders, arms and neck 2). The energy consumption of worker x was 5.367 Kcal/min, worker y was 3.578 Kcal/min and the novice was 3.365 Kcal/min 3). The body temperature of the three workers showed normal body temperature 4). The working room temperature does not meet the requirements while the room humidity has met the requirements.
