Abstract
The purpose of this research is to study the effect of utilization Total Mixed Fiber ammoniation in the ration to the performance of Bali cattle. This research was conducted in May until December 2016 at the Experimental Farm of Animal Science Departement, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. This research conducted through in vivo using Latin Square Design with four types of ration treatment based on the use of ammoniation Total Mixed Fiber in the ration, with four periods of research as replication. The treatment is 1). R0 = 60% Napier Grass, 2). R1 = 40% Napier Grass + 20% Total Mixed Fiber Ammoniation, 3). R2 = 20% Napier Grass + 40% Total Mixed Fiber Ammoniation and 4). R3 = 60% Total Mixed Fiber Ammoniation. Each treatment was added concentrate as many as 40% to fulfill 100% of the ration. The results showed that the utilization of Total Mixed Fiber ammoniation in the ration give significant effect (P>0,05) on feed intake and dry matter, otherwise doesn’t have a significant effect (P>0,05) on daily weight gain and feed efficiency. Based on this research we can conclude that the use of the Total Mixed Fiber ammoniation in the ration up to 60% gives the best results on the performance of Bali cattle with feed efficiency 7,42%, the value of feed intake 6,91 kg/ head/ day and daily weight gain 0,47 kg/ head/ day.
