Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of campus teaching programs on interest in becoming teachers among students at the Secial Sciencces education Department at Sriwijaya University. This research is of the correlational-quantitative type. The population in this study were students from the Social Sciences Education Department at Sriwijaya University who took part in the campus teaching program class 6, totaling 40 students. The samples in the research were taken using a saturated sampling technique so that the samples used in the research were as large as the research population. Dara collection techniques used in research are questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique in research is divided into three stages, namely the Pearson product-moment test, determinant coefficient, and t-test. The research results were ≥ 4.30 ≥ 2.02, with the decision Ha being accepted and Ho being rejected. The conclusion is that there is an influence of campus teaching programs on interest in becoming teachers among students at the Social Sciences Education Department at Sriwijaya University. The relationship between the two variables is at a medium level, as evidenced by = 0.5722. The influence of the campus teaching program on interest in becoming a teacher is 32.74%, and the remainder is influenced by other factors outside the research variables. Based on this research, it is hoped that students from the Social Sciences Education Department at Sriwijaya University will be able to participate in campus teaching programs to the fullest so that they can make a greater contribution to their interest in becoming teachers.
