Abstract

This research aims to determine how high the level of public concern for the environment is in the Griya Sukajadi Permai II Complex, Talang Kelapa District, Banyuasin Regency. This research uses descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The research instrument uses the Guttman scale. The subjects studied were heads of households where the sample was 86 people, using random sampling techniques. The data was analyzed descriptively as a percentage and the Microsoft Excel program was used to calculate the data analysis. The results of the research show that the level of public concern for the environment in the Griya Sukajadi Permai II Complex, Talang Kelapa District, Banyuasin Regency is classified as moderate, namely 58%. In the water management indicator, the level of community concern is included in the medium criteria, namely 60%, in the energy management indicator, the level of community concern is included in the high criteria, namely 69%, in the transportation use indicator, the level of community concern is included in the medium criteria, namely 45%, in the waste management indicator the level of Community concern is included in the medium criteria, namely 46%, in the environmental care indicator, the level of community concern is included in the high criteria, namely 73%.
