Abstract

This research aims to describe the factors of entrepreneurial interest of class XI students at SMA Negeri 16 Palembang. The sampling technique in this research was purposive sampling, so a sample size of 38 students was obtained from the entire population of 338 students. This research is descriptive research with a quantitative approach that uses data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires and interviews. The results of this research show that the factors for the high interest in entrepreneurship among students are external factors which include the family environment which obtained a percentage of 81% in the very high category, entrepreneurship education obtained a percentage result of 78% in the high category and internal factors which included feelings of happiness obtained a result of 86% with the very high category, motivation to obtain results is 83% with the very high category. Overall, the factors for the high interest in entrepreneurship among class XI.1 students at SMA Negeri 16 Palembang obtained an average of 82% in the very high category. In further research regarding variable factors of high interest in entrepreneurship, it is recommended to use broader aspects of indicators in order to provide deeper and more accurate insight.
