Abstract
This study is to determine the effect of the learning model Think, Pair, and Share on the ability to understand the text of the report on the results of observation of class X students of SMAN 2 Palembang. The method used in this study is quasi experiment. The sample used in this study consisted of two classes, namely class X IPA 1 as an experimental class which amounted to 35 students with treatment models Think, Pair, and Share, and class X IPA 4 as a control class whose students also numbered 35 students with learning models that commonly used by teachers in general. The average value of the initial experiment class test, which was 64.00, then 78.17 in the final test. The average value of the initial control class test was 67.43 and then to 72.69 in the final test. The results of calculations with the t-test show the value of tcount> t table = 2,349> 1,995 with df = 68 at the success rate of 95% (= 0,025) because t count is greater than t table so Ho is rejected.
