Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the response of giving sulphur and organic fertilizers on King Grass quality as Ruminant Feed. It held from January to June 2005 at Balai Pembibitan Ternak Unggul Sapi Dwiguna dan Ayam, Sembawa. This research was using factorial group of randomized design with 2 factors as treatment; organic and sulphur fertilizer. First factor was organic fertilizer which di vide into 3 level; 0 ton/ha (K0), 5 ton/ha (Kl) and 10 ton/ha (K2). Second factor was sulphur fertilizer which divide into 4 level; 0 kg/ha (S0), 30 kg/ha (SI), 60 kg/ha (S2) and 90 kg/ha (S3). It comprises of 12 treatments with 3 groups so there are 36 treatment units. Data were tested using analysis of variance and Least Significant Different Test to examine it’s difference. Parameters of this research Were Crude protein and crude fiber and Lipid content. The Result shows that organic fertilizers and Sulphur has higly significant effect (P<0.01) on Crude Protein and also with crude fiber. Highest value by organic fertilizers effect and sulphur of crude protein achieved by S2K0 ; 17,90 % while lowest effect by SOKO ; 10,52 % mean while Sulphur fertilizer and its interaction has also highly significant result on crude fiber. Highest value by organic fertilizers effect and sulphur of crude fiber achieved by S2K0; 17,90 %. while lowest effect by K2S3 ; 30,61 %.
