Abstract

PT Battoman Coal is a coal mining company located in Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra which collaborates with PT Bima Shabartum Gemilang to carry out the geotechnical drilling exploration stage. PT Battoman Coal's stratigraphy is composed of claystone, sandstone, siltstone, carbonaceous claystone, carbonaceous siltstone, and coal. Analysis of ground water level conditions was carried out using two methods, namely observation well and measurements with a piezometer. Groundwater conditions in the PT Battoman Coal mining plan area are getting higher in the direction of southeast and pore water pressure increases significantly between 1 and 2 meters every day. The slope stability analysis method used is the Morgenstern Price method with the Mohr-Coulomb failure type using assistance Software Rocscience Slide V.6 taking into account the regional seismicity coefficient. The analysis was carried out on two sections, namely sections AA' and BB', which simulated three groundwater conditions, namely dry conditions, groundwater depth of 4.26 meters and 28.45 meters from the slope surface based on the results of piezometer measurements. Stability Overall slope area high wall on sections AA' and BB' are included in the critical to stable category with FK values of 0,901 to 1,782. Recommendation Overall slope designed in accordance with Kepmen ESDM 1827K/MEM/2018 so that it is obtained overall slope which is stable in saturated conditions with FK values of 1,176 to 1,245.
