Abstract

Mathematics content overlaps with financial literacy in the content of numbers and arithmetic operations. In order for financial literacy content not to become a camouflage context, teachers' knowledge of financial literacy content that is appropriate to the mathematics content is needed. Thus, this study aims to develop a learning environment model to improve the professionalism of mathematics teachers in designing number content lessons with financial literacy content. To achieve this goal, the research used design research method of development studies type with three stages, namely preliminary stage, prototyping stage, and assessment stage. The research subjects were 10 schools in Yogyakarta City. The data were analysed descriptively to answer the research formulation using walkthrough data, observations, questionnaires, and interviews. The research produced a Math Fina-Flip Classroom environmental model with features that support teachers' content and pedagogical mastery, including content, active learning, coherence, duration, and collective participation. In addition, the role of technology is needed in order to facilitate access for all teachers. that the intersection between mathematics and financial literacy is in the content of numbers and basic arithmetic. The stage design of the learning environment model uses the flipped classroom approach of "out of class (before) - in class (during) - out of class (after)" stages. Thus, the model developed is in accordance with the needs and characteristics of the teacher's social environment, valid, practical, and has potential effects.
