Abstract

Negara-negara BRICS menghadapi berbagai tantangan unik dalam menjaga kestabilan financial soundness mereka. Keadaan ekonomi yang masih mengalami proses perkembangan serta struktur keuangan yang rentan terhadap perubahan eksternal membuat negara-negara BRICS lebih rentan pada dampak inflasi yang akan mempengaruhi financial soundness negaranya. Namun, penelitian mengenai pengaruh makroekonomi terhadap financial soundness belum banyak medapat perhatian. Dalam penelitian ini mengcoba menganalisis pengaruh inflasi terhadap financial soundness di negara BRICS. Penelitian ini menggunakan data sekunder dalam rentan waktu 2010 sampai 2021 dan ruang lingkup 5 negara BRICS dengan memperoleh data dari International Monetary Fund (IMF) dan World Bank. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi data panel dengan jenis Fixed Effect Model (FEM). Temuan menunjukkan bahwa Inflasi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap financial soundness. Penelitian ini menghasilkan implikasi berupa perlunya penekanan untuk megimplementasi kebijakan moneter yang tepat untuk mengendalikan inflasi dan operasi pasar terbuka agar bank sentral dapat mengelola likuiditas dalam sistem perbankan sehingga mengurangi tekanan inflasi secara drastis yang dapat menganggu pertumbuhan ekonomi dan tingkat kesehatan keuangan.
