Abstract

Telah dilakukan sintesis IIPs (Ion Imprinted Polymers) Pb(II) menggunakan metode cooling-heating untuk mengurangi pencemaran timbal di perairan. Perkembangan penelitian telah menunjukkan sensitivitas dan selektivitas IIPs sebagai bahan berbasis adsorpsi untuk pemisahan ion logam. Polimerisasi yang terjadi pada sintesis material IIPs dipengaruhi oleh senyawa-senyawa yang digunakan. Crosslinker menjadi salah satu senyawa yang penting dalam pembentukan polimer. Konsentrasi crosslinker mempengaruhi hasil dari polimerisasi, penggunaan crosslinker dalam jumlah yang tepat akan meningkatkan laju dan efisiensi polimerisasi serta mempengaruhi sifat fisik dan kimia polimer yang terbentuk. Pada penelitian, dua variasi konsentrasi crosslinker telah diterapkan dan didapatkan hasil pada sintesis polimer dengan konsentrasi crosslinker 6,62 mL tidak berhasil membentuk padatan, sedangkan pada konsentrasi 9,93 mL didapatkan polimer padat akrilik sesuai yang diharapkan. Berdasarkan hasil karakterisasi SEM didapatkan sebaran distribusi pori material polimer Pb(II) dan IIPs Pb(II) pada ukuran 0-100nm sebanyak 1.047 dan 2.650 pori. Pada uji kinerja yang dilakukan pada material terhadap larutan uji dengan konsentrasi 30 ppm pada 100 mL didapatkan nilai kapasitas adsorpsi IIPs Pb(II) sebesar 4,12 mg/g. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa material IIPs yang disintesis berkinerja baik.
