Abstract

The increase in fish production figures on Enggano Island will also increase the volume of fish waste, which could also have a negative impact on the environment. One of the products obtained by fishermen is Tiger Grouper and Lencamfish. The bones of Tiger Grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) and Lencamfish (Lethrinus lentjan) contain a lot of protein, including calcium and phosphorus. Calcium and phosphorus are important elements needed for the growth and development of the body in both humans and other living creatures. The bones of Tiger Grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) and LencamFish (Lethrinus lentjan) have quite high calcium and phosphorus content. This research aimed to determine the calcium and phosphorus content in the bones of Tiger Grouper (Epinephelus fuscoguttatus) and the bones of LencamFish (Lethrinus lentjan). This research was carried out in September-November 2023 by taking samples directly from collectors in Banjarsari village, Enggano Island. Test the calcium content using an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) and test the phosphorus content using a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer. The results of this research show that the calcium content in the bones of Tiger Grouper Fish is 8.84% and for LencamFish is 7.97%, and the phosphorus content produced in both samples is 1.4% for Tiger Grouper Fish and 1.43% for Tiger Grouper Fish. LencamFish. Based on the results, it was found that the calcium content in Tiger Grouper Fish is greater than that of LencamFish, while the phosphorus content of Tiger Grouper Fish is lower than that of LencamFish.
