Abstract

PT Pusaka Mitra Artha is a coal mining company administratively located in Gunung Tuo village, Mandiangin district, Sarolangun City, Jambi Province. PT Pusaka Mitra Artha plans to mine 700,000 tons of coal per year. So it is necessary to plan for mining design, overburden backfill design, and planning the needs of loading and hauling equipment per year to achieve the planning target. This study aims to plan the mining sequence which includes annual and quarterly mining planning, disposal planning, and the needs of loading and transporting equipment. The production target set by the company with the average stripping ratio allowed by the company of 4.5: 1, then replanned the design of a safe annual pit with reserves that meet the annual production target, disposal plans to accommodate the volume of overburden of annual pit products, and an estimate of the amount of loading and hauling equipment needs to support efforts to achieve the planned annual coal production target from the pit. The pit design was created using minescape 5.7 software, the slope geometry was designed using the company's geotechnical recommendations. The study resulted in HK pit limit pit with total coal reserves of 3,654,697.24 tons, overburden 14,732,303.09 BCM and an opening area of 53.46 Ha. The disposal pile is designed based on the geometry of the level that has been allowed by PT Pusaka Mitra Artha, namely with a height of 10 meters and a width of 20 meters, resulting in a capacity of 15,900,440.38 CCM. The loading and digging equipment used is the Caterpillar 330 excavator for coal getting activities and the Sany Jpl 365 excavator for overburden unloading activities, the type of conveyance used is the Fuso Fighter FN62 dump truck for coal and overburden transportation activities.
