Abstract

Sectio caesarea is a surgery that aim to delivering a fetus through an incision in the abdominal wall and uterus. Sectio caesarea can cause complex problem, both psychologically, physically and socially. One of the physical problems that mothers who undergo a sectio caesarea always experience is pain due to surgical wounds. This problem must be given maintenance care so that the patient can adapt when the pain arrives. On of nursing intervention that can be given to reduce the pain scale of post section caesarea finger hold relaxation techniques. purpose of the Provide nursing care to post sectio caesarea patients by applying the finger hold relaxation techniques. This study used a qualitative research with a case study approach in 3 post sectio caesarea patients.The finger hold relaxation techniques is given 3 times in three day for 15 minutes with a time difference of 1 hour before administering pharmacological therapy. After being given the finger hold relaxation technique to the three post caesarean section patients, there was a decrease in the pain scale by four points. The finger-hold relaxation technique helps mothers more easily control themselves when they feel discomfort due to pain which is the result of caesarean section surgery. Finger hold relaxation is a relaxation therapy that can be applied to relieve post-operative pain. Providing finger hold relaxation technique can reduce post sectio caesarea section pain as evidence by lowering the pain scale of three patient with post sectio caesara.
